Kang Yi-kwan

Born in Seoul. KANG has dealt with in-depth stories of family and society in his films. His feature debut SA-KWA in 2005, an upbeat film of a woman’s conflict, parting, and choice for relationship and marriage, was invited to numerous international film festivals, winning the 30th Toronto International Film Festival FIPRESCI Award and the 53rd San Sebastian International Film Festival Mont Blanc Award for New Screenwriters, etc.
