Parisot won the 1988 Academy Award for Best Short Film, Live Action for The Appointments of Dennis Jennings which starred and was co-written (with Mike Armstrong) by comedian Steven Wright. Among his television credits are episodes of Monk, Northern Exposure and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
