Max Nosseck (September 19, 1902, Nakel – September 29, 1972, Bad Wiessee) was a German actor, film director, and screenwriter. After studying art in Vienna, he began his career in Berlin as a performer and filmmaker, directing his first feature in 1930. Following the rise of the Nazi regime, Nosseck emigrated in 1933 and worked across France, Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands before settling in the United States in 1939, where he directed films primarily for MGM, sometimes using the name Alexander M.
